ST3 featuresMovement

The trace shows the method you actually used

The swing on Marksman ST3 is the recorded path of the barrel. Swing through, pull away, and a maintained lead each leave a different speed trace. On a rifle, you either stay with the animal or meet it. A stop, a poke, and a jerk do not look the same.

What you can train

  1. 01

    Swing through

The gun starts behind, passes the target, and the shot goes as the muzzle pulls ahead.

  2. 02

    Pull away

You match the target, then extend the lead yourself.

  3. 03

    Maintained lead

On an incoming target the speed should not fall to zero. A flat spot is a gun that stopped.

  4. 04

    Rifle

Keep the reticle close to the animal's angular speed. The working rule in the rifle modules is about a quarter of that speed, so you place the shot instead of throwing it across the target.

  5. 05

    Olympic trap, 2026 rules

Olympic trap follows the 2026 ISSF rules. The 2022 tables stay available when you want them.

  6. 06

    One house at a time

On ISSF trap you can throw only the left target, only the middle, or only the right, and stay on that angle until it is yours.

What you see

  1. 01

    Smooth

A clean swing is one rising curve. The shot sits on the move.

  2. 02

    Stop

The curve climbs, then flattens. The gun checked.

  3. 03

    Jerk

A spike is a poke or a yank, not a swing.

Questions

What shotgun methods can you practice on ST3?

You can practice swing through, pull away, and a maintained lead on incoming targets, plus outgoing targets where the picture is easy to misread. The speed trace shows which method you actually used.

What is the rifle speed rule on ST3?

The rifle modules use a working rule of about 25 percent of the animal's angular speed. The reticle stays with the target so you place the shot instead of throwing it across.

Can you train one Olympic trap target at a time?

Yes. Olympic trap on Marksman ST3 follows the 2026 ISSF rules, and you can throw only the left target, only the middle, or only the right.

What can you train on Marksman ST3?

You can train stance and mount, shotgun methods such as swing through and pull away, rifle tracking or interception, clays, driven birds, running game, sidearm work, and defense engagements against drones. The speed trace shows which method you actually used. The record shows the movement, the impact, and whether the shot was a safe one. You can also build the presentation yourself, including a photograph of your own range as the background.

Does Olympic trap on Marksman ST3 follow the 2026 ISSF rules?

Yes. Olympic trap on Marksman ST3 follows the 2026 ISSF rules, and the 2022 tables are still available. You can train only the left target, only the middle, or only the right, and stay on that house until the angle is yours.

The rest of the system
